What do I need to bring on first appointment?

How long are the appointments?

Initial consultation appointments for simple conditions can lasts up to 30 minutes. Initial consultation of complex multisystem medical conditions can lasts up to 45 minutes.

Follow up consultations for simple conditions are scheduled for 10-15 minutes and complex patients can last upto 20 minutes.

Can I ring to get a repeat prescription?

Please do not ring to request a repeat prescription.

Please send through to us your request by email to admin@imranbadshah.com.au Please include:

  • your full name
  • date of birth
  • the medication
  • the dose
  • where you would like the prescription sent, contact details (eg to the pharmacy)

As a general rule, Dr. Badshah does not repeat prescriptions without reviewing the patient.

What if I need to talk to Dr Badshah between appointments?

Please contact practice staff in case of any concerns.

Alternatively email your enquiry to admin@imranbadshah.com.au. Dr Badshah will return your call or email as soon as he is able. Please be aware that this may take up to 48 hours.

What are your hours?

Reception is available to take calls at following times:

Monday 09:00 – 1:00pm

Tuesday 09:00 – 1:00pm

Wednesday 09:00 – 5:00pm

Thursday 09:00 – 5:00pm

Friday 9:00 – 2:00pm

Do you send me a reminder call or SMS?

Yes we do a couple of days before your appointment.

Please indicate on the Patient Registration form if you do not require a reminder.

What is your cancellation policy?

Dr Badshah sees patients upon referral and by appointment only. We appreciate that life can be busy and schedules change. If you cannot attend your appointment, we ask you to:

  • contact us in office hours by telephone. We do not accept SMS, texts or emails cancelling or rescheduling appointments, and
  • give us as much notice as possible, and at least two working days.
  • Problems can happen. Please pay us the courtesy of calling to inform us. We might be able to offer a tele-consultation instead.

Fees:

We are a private practice and do not offer bulk billing except in special circumstances.

A full payment for your consultation is required on the day of your appointment.

Almost all consultations qualify for a Medicare rebate or a portion of the fee.
